TDC 1 is nearing its close!

TDC ends on the 10th instead of the 1st so I'll stick to the announced date before judging TDC 01: Fish out of water. Anyone wishing to enter should have their submissions in by the end of January the 10th, sorry for the confusion!

welcome to to the first Trueform Design Challenge - or TDC - in a series that I will be running every month!

So what is TDC? Well, it's basically like a contest; I set you a Fakemon design challenge with a specific theme and you see what you can come up with! It will be done purely for fun as a challenge to test your design skills, get your creativity running and - as with a regular contest - I will feature your entries in my journals if you want me to so that I can hopefully help your designs get some more exposure. At the end of the month before I begin the next TDC, I will pick my favourites and explain why I like them.

So without further stalling for time, here is TDC 1: Fish out of Water!

Create a Fakemon based on a type of fish that comes from any environment other than water (it doesn't have to be based on a real out of water fish, just of a fishy design). Its type and number of evolutions is mostly up to you but this is a design challenge... so no water types please!
It has to be a design new to your gallery, not an older one. This is a creative challenge to your current skills, so I won't feature any old designs.
You are welcome to change or update your entry whenever you like.
TDC 1 will be closed on January 10th 2014.

PLEASE NOTE:

Artists of ANY skill level should feel free to take part. TDC should be considered a workshop to practise both skill and design, so please don't feel like you shouldn't contribute if you're not confident in your art. I encourage others who take part to offer help and advice if you request it in your description (so you will always get some feedback, even if it's just from me) and constructive criticism is always useful, but abuse and unhelpful comments such as 'this suxxxs111' etc will not be tolerated.
