Tunnowl have a second pair of talons on their wings which they use to dig burrows in areas of low vegetation - they can even live in warmer climates such as deserts by hiding in their burrows from the sun. Although they are capable of flight, they spend much of their time hunting on the ground where tey can run deceptively fast; they are usually found out in the open from dusk until dawn using their excellent night vision to locate prey.

Hoobernate are rarely found in the wild - they fly to high places in mountains and cliffs and dig large caves using their powerful wing talons.
