Life Update (and Fallout 4! Woo!)

UPDATE: Congratulations to the USA for legalizing gay marriage! It's been a long time in the making, but it's good to know that humans as a society are still making steps to socially improving ourselves and accepting people for who they are. Everybody deserves happiness!

For those of you who read these, thanks for your patience! I know it's been a long time since I submitted anything; I have my reasons but I just wanted you all to know that I am very much still here and checking my comments and notes and whatever, so if you want to talk to me just drop me one of those and I'll get back to you.

So, Fallout 4 has finally been confirmed! I'm so excited! The Fallout franchise has always been one of my favourites (FO3 in particular, which is my favourite game of all time) and to hear that the fourth one has not only has it been in development for the past 5 years but is also released in November? wow, this year is a good year for gaming! I was gonna start saving for the pipboy edition with prop pipboy, but I reserved the standard version as soon as it was confirmed and the pipboy edition was announced a few days later - by the time I went to upgrade my reservation, they were all sold out! I'm very tempted to try and make my own, though I've never been very craft-savvy... still, it's worth a shot I guess. Maybe I have a hidden talent (and won't super glue my hands to my eyeballs or something). The creators of the game, Bethesda, have said they are focusing on player freedom once again with an open world game and they even stated they are opting for gameplay over graphics; that being said, the graphics are still damn good. I grew up in an age where a game had to have good gameplay to stand out since graphics were never really advanced, so it's nice to hear that is still something of value. Although there are a large number of great games, there are some whose focus on style over substance is quite a devolution.

Fallout Shelter has also been released! For those of you who don't know, it's a resource management game where you play a vault overseer and have to manage the vault and dwellers inside. It's damn cool and after a few false starts where my dwellers first were killed by radroaches and then stricken by radiation poisoning due to my poor water supply control, I now have a thriving vault which is progressing very nicely! Awesome stuff.
