It would be really interesting if you gave this a mega evolution based on super-saiyans,. Since Mega evolution seems to be partly based on super-saiyans, (or more likely the general idea of ascening into a temporary"higher" form during an intense battle) it would pretty much bring things full circle. You could even makes its mega stone patterned like a Dragon Ball.
