Description
Line art for my new grass starters, based on Koalas and Drop Bears. As the evolve, they drop onto intruders from the trees with their rocky hind quarters.
Eucalala
--------------------
Derivation: Eucalyptus + Koala
Classification: Bush Pokemon
Abilities: Overgrow (hidden: Poison Heal)
Type: Grass
Eucalala spend most of their time high up in the tree tops clinging to branches and tree trunks where they can be safe from predators; they don't have to drink since the leaves they eat provide them with plenty of moisture. Because their arms are still gaining strength, they sometimes fall to the ground - however, they always land on their rear quarters which are insulated in a thick and bushy grass coating.
Rockoala
--------------------
Derivation: Rock + Koala
Classification: Drop bear Pokemon
Abilities: Overgrow (hidden: Poison Heal)
Type: Grass/rock
Rockoala have evolved to make their falls into a self-defense mechanism - their hind quarters have hardened over many falls into a rock coating lined with thick comfy grass to protect them from impacts. If they feel threatened, they will climb to the hightest tree they can find and launch themselves off - butt first - to the ground to land on the threat. They are inneringly accurate.
Koalord
----------------------
Derivation: Koala + King
Classification: Drop Bear Pokemon
Abilities: Overgrow (hidden: Poison Heal)
Type: Grass/rock
Despite their huge size and weight, Koalord travel quickly and silently through high tree tops and branches protecting their forest and woodland homes. More aggressive than their previous evolutions, these Pokemon are fiercely territorial and don't like intruders; they actively attack anyone or anything that threatens the trees or inhabitants of their kingdom. They will throw themselves from high places to use their battering ram-like hindquarters as a deadly weapon, although they don't even have to hit an opponent directly - the shockwaves created from the impact can be just as physically damaging.
Potential moves list: Energy Ball, Grass Knot, Needle Arm, Power Whip, Razor Leaf, Seed Bomb, Wood Hammer, Head Smash, Rock Blast, Rollout, Rock Slide, Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Rock Wrecker, Smack Down, Stone Edge, Headbutt, Earthquake, Bulk Up, Close Combat, Dynamic Punch, Focus Punch, Seismic Toss, Vital Throw
