Bugs rock

Meet Tectyke and Terratula, based on spiders and stalactites. They are bug/rock dual types, although they have an arctic variation that is bug/ice with their stalactite qualities replaced with icicles. People have said that there are no real spiders in the Pokemon world (their words, not mine) so here you are; being cave dwellers, these will also be your worst nightmare if you suffer from Claustrophobia, arachnophobia or - even worse - both.

Tectyke

Derivation: Tectonic and Tyke
Abilities: Rock Head, Sturdy
Classification: Stalactite Pokemon

Tectyke are cave dwellers, where they can blend in seamlessly with their surroundings - when still, they can impersonate stalactites or stalagmites effortlessly. Their bodies are flat on the underside so they can press themselves against rock surfaces, detecting slight vibrations in their environment as if the whole cavern network was a web and dropping down on prey from above to capture it or spit a thick web made from rock crushed to powder and turned into a cable-like silk in their bodies. A variation of their species can even be found in icy caves in colder climates.

Terratula

Derivation: Terra and Tarantula
Abilities: Rock Head, Sturdy
Classification: Cave Predator Pokemon

They crush the hardest rocks and convert it into thick black webbing that can't be seen in darkness. Wild Terratula hunt in their deep cave network homes like kings in the darkness, their rule unchallenged; they are dangerous even to larger cave Pokemon and especially so to wandering humans who are easy prey for them. When still, they can't be distinguished from their surroundings; when venturing in caves, beware if it seems like the position of your environment is changing when you look away as it may be that you are being stalked by Terratula. It is hard to tell, but they carry young Tectyke on their back.
